Charles J. Pratt, Jr. joined the firm in March 2006, and is a shareholder in the firm. He has practiced law for over 26 years and currently focuses on commercial and residential real estate matters, commercial and business transactions, and corporate matters. He represents clients in the purchase and sale of automobile dealerships, financing transactions, for both borrowers and lenders, as well as in the purchase of land and subsequent development into residential subdivisions. In addition, Mr. Pratt has extensive experience, including drafting of wills and trust, mortgage foreclosures, consumer and commercial unsecured collections, including garnishments and replevins. Prior to joining, Mr. Pratt was with Holland & Knight LLP, and before that, with Mcguire, Pratt, Masio, Farrance & Rice, P.A. Mr. Pratt began his legal career as a staff attorney of the Commerce Committee of the Florida House of Representatives, where he worked on legislation related to Banking and Business issues. Mr. Pratt is a member of The Florida Bar and its Real Property, Probate and Trust Section, and the American Bar Association. Mr. Pratt graduated from Florida State University School of Law in 1980, after obtaining a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Lenoir-Rhyne College (in Hickory, North Carolina) in 1978. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in May 1981, and admitted to practice before the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Back to Attorneys Page |
